RACINE CARRÉE
From cocoa root to chocolate square

Racine Carrée is a chocolate brand created by Matéo Cosnefroy.
An agricultural engineer by training, he fell in love with cocoa during a volunteer mission in the Peruvian Amazon.
Since that day, he has never left this land, rich in discoveries and encounters.
Matéo develops and modernizes a family plantation in Peru with the help of his two associates. They travel together the valleys and remote areas of the San Martín region in Peru. Always equipped with his camera, Matéo selected many landscapes as well as the whole process of working around cocoa in the plantation.
Once harvested, the cocoa beans are exported to the Côte d'Azur, where Matéo has set up his workshop. It is in the village of Saint-Jeannet, in the heights of Nice, that he transforms his beans into chocolate bars, and transmits his history and his passion for cocoa.
The tablet reflects the image of the brand.Square in shape, it takes up the design of the logo. It is cut and crunched in a raw way, by hand, without pre-cutting.
